In 2010, Henry Wolf took his BMW motorcycle out for a four hour ride. When he came home, he had more than vivid memories of the trip. He had an erection that, according to Wolf, lasted 24 hours a day for more than two years. While that may sound like something you’d hear from a stand-up comedian, it’s actually not funny. This kind of prolonged, unwanted, persistent and painful erection is called priapism and can do serious, permanent damage (this is why the disclaimers for Viagra, Cialis, and Levitra all say to call your doctor if you have an erection lasting longer than four hours).
Wolf is suing BMW and the seat’s manufacturer for lost wages, medical expenses and emotional distress. His attorney, Vernon Bradley, in an interview with ABC news said, “It’s very embarrassing, and all kind of problems developed. He had to reconfigure his clothing, and going to the bathroom was a problem.”
You’d think a two-year erection would be about as bad as it gets, but today, Wolf is unable to have an erection at all. Serious business.
